Amidio and DanceMusicHub.com are proud to announce Touch DJ, a new professional DJ software package available for iPhone and iPod touch users. Touch DJ was launched in the app store and is already being touted as a package that will revolutionise the way a deejay mixes. Touch DJ is the result of a partnership between Russian development company Amidio and Australia’s DanceMusicHub.com.

Touch DJ is the first full-featured DJ MP3 application on the iPhone platform. Touch DJ offers real-time independent manipulation of two MP3 files. By manipulating the graphic display of the track waveforms next to each other allows the user to mix visually. Scratching, looping, positioning, equalization, effects and pitching is made easy with the futuristic, user-friendly interface. These features, combined with Touch DJ’s highly advanced zero-latency sound engine deliver results comparable to that of professional DJ hardware worth over $1000!

Replacing headphones with technology that enables the visual cueing of tracks means the audio output on the iPhone and iPod Touch can be used to plug into sound systems. This means Touch DJ is arguably the world’s most portable DJ console and music library. And for traditional DJ’s who prefer cueing with headphones, simultaneous mixing and sound amplification can be achieved with the use of a splitting adapter.

As a bonus, Touch DJ is shipped with 25 new release dance tracks so it can be used immediately after download. DanceMusicHub added an international flavour to the app by licensing tracks from a variety of emerging labels from across the globe. Labels including MUM (UK), Discotheque Records (Brazil), Savant Garde (USA), Denim (Australia), MN2S (UK), Be Yourself (NL), Berwick St (UK), Tornato (Australia), Velcro (Australia) have conveniently provided tracks from artists such as Marco V, Sandy Riviera, Darren Mase and Timo Garcia, To encourage sharing of skills and technique at a central location, there’s a community website at www.dancemusichub.com where users can upload there mixes as well as comment on others.
